While the world responds to COVID-19, we've put together a program to help schools deliver math education remotely. This program is an extension of our traditional professional development, curricular resources, assessments and support for educators and parents.
For our schools, we are providing 4 online math support options. Educators and parents are welcome for this 8 week program.
We will hold 1 seminar each week for each of the grade level bands: K-2, 3-5, 6-8. The content topics will be posted two weeks before and teachers and parents can register for each seminar. We will host past seminars on our website for access at anytime for teachers and parents through June. During each 20-30-minute seminar teachers and parents can ask questions using the Zoom ‘group chat’ section. If the questions are not answered during the seminar, we will attempt to address them in up-coming seminars or on social media.
Varied practice sheets on the week's topics will be available to download on Mondays and Thursdays.
We will continue to conduct professional development with educators on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These sessions will be set up by the district and will include grade level meetings from 15 to 30 minutes via Zoom. Each session should include grade level teachers and specialists. We will use these sessions to answer specific questions from that team.
